Indeed, you can safely use a robot vacuum on your scalloped rug if you set it to the right settings. Always choose low suction mode. Avoid using beater bars or rotating brush bars.   • Air-dry fully. 
  • Contact a professional cleaner if needed, not always.
     

Avoid heat or direct sunlight when drying.
